Probably not the strongest counter criticism, Kelley. See Gowaty's comment on this piece of evidence in the NYT article two Saturdays ago. I have already noted it here: since rapists are of the same age as well, their victims may be chosen simply they are in the same age specific circle, not because they are in their prime child bearing age.

Can't read this Thornhill/Palmer piece now. Again, criticisms of earlier attempts, can be found in Fausto Sterling's book and Gowaty's, ed. Feminism and Evo Biology (which includes more in the Thornhill mode as well).

Given the importance of the issue, it would be nice if someone actually followed the specialist criticisms of this pseudo Darwinian theory.
