The administration mobilized the sympathetic by their idiotic and undemocratic strategies.

In any event, it turned out to be faster and more effective to sit down with people and have an argument for a few hours than simply stop their car for 15 minutes, scream at them, and pass them a pamphlet every day for 3 weeks (to little or no avail). At least I had more success talking to students than stopping traffic.
