>Hurray! I apparently completely underestimated the extent to which people

not that this is exactly why you did a holy batman that someone care about accountancy, but one of weber's schtick's was just this: to look at the rise of standardization and accounting practices as, among several other things, crucial for getting proto-capitalism off the ground. there is a group of people i met once at the ASAs when presenting a paper and they were working on accountancy and the "new economy". the only paper i had time to hear was focused on the historical development of accountancy practice in the US..... some real zzzzzzzz stuff when you've had a donut and too much coffee in a Hilton lobby prior to giving of said talk. ;-) the sugar/caffeine buzz.... weeeeeooooo....crash landing. i had to seek aid and comfort in the mezzanine 'tap room' later. i have some biz cards somewhere and if'n you is actually interested i could give some of 'em a jing-a-ling and see what their latest is
god dd! i had to highlight and cut two of those hideous godawful footer warnings from hell!
