And Hong Kong. And Singapore. And South Korea. And Taiwan. Even Malaysia and Thailand have grown pretty fast in the past 30 years. Not that capitalist "progress" is an unmixed blessing, as any Korean factory worker will tell you; it's just that the Marxist concept of immiseration is a dialectical/historical, not a static/mechanical, category. It changes over time.
