And you were right. LW may no less about theory -- about thinking and writing -- and the US context than even cybernatz like this ralph fellow. Nathan's post made perfect sense to me. I cant stand Bradley but might end up having to vote for him, just as I can question CW's decisions and rhetoric, without spewing ressentiment and without indulging in the pleasures of a "concealed" back-lash against Black public intellectuals. Richard Wright may be a better writer than CW, and Fanon has them all beat anyway, but they are still dead, and it is still a rather different historical conjuncture.
