Absolutely true. But you're interesting. Whereas PBS is constrained by
its government funding not to be partisan or controversial. Under which
conditions, government funding can't solve the blandness problem.
Perhaps government funding works better in France, since they take partisanship to be an unavoidable fact of life, and les epater des bourgeoisie as proof that subsidy was necessary.
