Surreal to see Nancy Folbre and Paul Volcker as neighbors on this 
surreal statement. Not to be too moralizing or blunt or anything, but 
how many people did Volcker's 21% short rates kill - 
disproportionally children, if I'm remembering the UNICEF 
calculations right - in debtor countries in the 1980s? Who will pay 
for the kids indeed.

There really is no end to liberal self-deception, is there?
