Hi there,

we have just set up a new list for discussing in more detail existing ideas for pulling off anti-border actions in the context of the global action day on Mayday 2000.

If you are interested in organizing and coordinating such actions, either at borders themselves or against border regime and migration control wherever else it manifests itself, please join the list by sending an e-mail to the address <mailto:bordermayday-request at coyote.kein.org> with the command "s*bscribe bordermayday" (without the quotes) in the message body. You can get help on the commands available by sending a mail to the same address with the command "help".

See below for more information about the focus of the list.

Best,

Alain

WELCOME to the [bordermayday] mailing list <bordermayday at coyote.kein.org>

This list is intended for internationally coordinating decentralized actions against borders and against migration control in the context of the global action day on Mayday 2000. It complements the general international coordination list <mayday2k at onelist.com>, which serves for general brainstorming about possible actions (not only at or about borders) and for movement-building. Regular summaries of what is being discussed on this list will be prepared for the [mayday2k] list and other relevant lists. Several groups in the United States and in Europe have already started planning actions. Let's make this list a useful instrument for coordinating the actions and exchanging our respective experiences and ideas on how to address border regimes in concrete actions.
