Well, there's more debt, but it's also being financed abroad, since savings are so low, which would make things more susceptible to exchange rate fluctuations, etc. How likely is it that people are going to start betting en masse against the dollar? I dunno. It depends upon how much they believe the in the fundamentals "new economy," I guess.
