I'm happy to pay taxes. But I think people who make less than, say, $35k per year shouldn't pay taxes at all. Really: most of my taxes are payroll taxes, so I really think that payroll taxes should be paid directly (instead of merely collected directly -- Chris Rock says you don't "pay taxes" you merely get jacked by the government) by corporations; 1040A and 1040EZ filers would largely not have to file.

Sure: investment income, weird situations like capital gains and stuff should make you get in the tax system. But I say: make the IRS a lot smaller by getting a lot fewer people to file.
