Angela and I have made a rather large number of ill-humored references to each other over the last couple of years. We have disagreements, but if she ever called me a stalinist, I missed it. And I don't think I ever called her a Kulak or a Menshevik? I claimed she was filibustering -- partly because I suspected she could offer a good reply to Justin's pragmatism if she would stop complaining about his reading or lack thereof and concentrate on what he was saying.

Less ill-humor without blunting disagreements probably would improve the list. But Daniel's posts (*unlike* Angela's) seem to consist of nothing but ill humor. And actually, I believe Daniel has expressed even more admiration than I have for that great man, William Hinton, who has been an associate of Stalinists all his life (and included a favorable reference to Avakian's RCP in one of his books). For myself, I long ago ceased to identify as "Stalinist" or "Trotskyist" even those who so self-identified. That kind of labelling (and self-labelling) is a mug's game.
