Forum on Corporations (First Wednesday of each month)
"Everybody's doing something about the corporation, but nobody's talking about it."
*Think, and perhaps argue, about the role of the corporation in society. *Learn about, and stay updated on, each other's work. *Network; obtain allies; possibly develop collective action.
February 2: John Cavanagh of the Institute for Policy Studies, Thea Lee of the AFL-CIO, and Dan Seligman of the Sierra Club together will discuss strategies for follow-up on the Battle in Seattle and visions for the future of resistance to free trade, including some discussion on the upcoming protests in Washington around this April’s World Bank/IMF meetings.
