Tired, yes, but they've been winning ones (not that realpolitik is a matter of coming up with good arguments). The embargo is still on, the bombings have gone on. Children are dying, and Washington says, "blame Saddam, it's his fault," -- some Americans obligingly nod in agreement, other Americans don't know or don't give a damn. It's as if the Gulf War can never come to an end. Surreal and yet tragically real.
