The hard drive containing all of the data of the Marxists Internet Archive,
including all of our mail, failed at approximately  July 14, 10:30 PM G. M.
T.  The ISP that hosts our site has attempted to get their server back
online, accomplishing this five days later on  July 19, 8:30 P. M. G. M. T.
This has allowed us to place this notice on the Internet, however all of our
content is still inaccessible.  It is possible that it may be unrecoverable,
in which case we will be able to reconstruct a portion of our material from
our mirrors.


In order to access the content of this site, please visit one of our three
primary mirror sites.  If you have any urgent questions please contact Brian
Basgen (basgen at rvi.net) or  David Walters (dwalters at igc.org).

Note for those who ordered the CD.  The loss of all of our data came exactly
one day before we were planning on downloading the site contents and burning
the CD for duplication and mass distribution. The timing of the failure
makes it impossible for us to deliver the CD this month, as our
reconstruction efforts will take a great deal of time. We will publish more
information on our progress, when we find out how much of our data we are
able to recover.
