Re WP's statement: "[Commerce Secretary William Daley] would replace Tony Coelho, the former California congressman who was hired by Gore a year ago to streamline the campaign. Coelho was treated this week at a Washington-area hospital for an inflamed colon."
The odd thing is, I thought Coelho -- who resigned from the House a decade ago to avoid an investigation of his use of political contacts to make a killing from junk-bond investments -- *was* an inflamed colon.
