Hitler was consistently pro-animal and anti-human.

All animals are sentient.  What distinguishes them from us is that they're
not sapient.  The capacity for sapience depends on perception of mentality,
i.e. human consciousness.  Alas, not all humans develop this capacity.  In
fact, mind-awareness opens up the possibility for self-delusion, which
results in a level of stupidity unattainable by any animal.
