. . . By the way, opposition to the WTO can certainly be motivated by
opposition to capitalism.  But that doesn't mean the only alternative to the
WTO is world socialism.  A development model that seeks to protect third
world markets and cultivate third world capital would give poor countries
control over their own development.  This would be a great improvement.  It
would enable countries to choose their own fate, socialist or not.
