you've still not escaped the fact that you just proclaimed a should. you may think the reason is somehow more honest b/c it doesn't tiptoe around power, but that doesn't change the fact that you've just tried to impose a should on others
self interest, by the way, is a moral point of view. counterposing it to morality or ethics is the limitation of the framework you're using and why you could imagine the above was somehow not a moral injunction.
