Monetary Policy in the New Economy

I'll be attending a conference seminar this week on "Monetary Policy in
the New Economy."  A central bank Governor and an economist will be
presenting.  I suspect that the central banker will cry the blues about
how all of the signals on conditions have changed in the New Economy.

Are there any cliches, canards or examples of wishful thinking of which an
impressionable mind should be wary on this topic?
