BTW, looking at the GDP per person stats for Zimbabwe, I noticed that it rose 10% between 1980 (independence) and 1990, and then plummeted in one year back to its original level in 1991, and has pretty much stayed hovered around there ever since (some success story). Is there an obvious explanation for this huge set back?
