Ok, but who's 'national security' POV? The US's? Is Clinton really suggesting that a failure to pass the PNTR would weaken US national security? Or, if China: then is Clinton suggesting that China's national security is at stake? I guess I'm trying to guage to what extent -- or perhaps, who -- is implying that China will take Taiwan (or something other going by recent strikes) unless the PNTR is passed. Articles in the WSJ have talked about it; but does this mean the Chinese press tacitly agrees this is a likelihood, or?
