Zizek's racism

One of the sillier controversies, when I was an undergrad at UC, Santa Cruz, in the early 80's, erupted when one of the campus Republicans (a small, but brave bunch) wrote the campus paper, City on a Hill, about the "totalitarianism" of sensitivity training and being forced to read Rigoberta Menchu. He signed it, "Rudyard Kipling." The letters of outrage flowed. "Down With Rudyard Kipling! Committees , " were formed. Grant proposals were written. Until a lit major wrote in to say who he was.

Think I'll write a letter now to City on a Hill. Sign it, Franz Kafka.
