China goes capitalist

It seems every 5 years, china picks its motto. I maybe its a holdout from 5 year plans. The latest motto i had heard of went along the lines of "china is in the 'primary phases of socialism'", this was 2-3 years ago. The article that presented this stated that the "primary phases" of socialism would be a period of the exploitation of the worker and peasant by the boss/landlord -- which would lead to socialism becasue capitalism contains in it the seeds of its downfall. In other words.. we're going capitalist in order to become socialist. I don't buy it, but these guys are hard core about their capitalism.
