Of course, one thing to keep in mind that is that Blair won his present overwhelming mandate with 43% of the vote. The drop is from an astonishing post-election height back down to earth. (Ironically, that same percentage that gave Blair an overwhelming mandate gave Bill Clinton his first very fragile one. Institutions differ.)

On top of that, remember the polls in Bill's first midterm? Much worse than this. Mid-term polls are like that. And most are worse than Blair's. Compare him in context and the only weird thing is that he's still +1.
