Press, Annals of Communism series. Edited by J.Arch Getty, whose earlier work regarded by some as apologetic for contesting the Robert Conquest/Leonard Schapiro Cold War Liberal line on totalitarianism, but at least from my quick skim, of the new one full of docs on the Purges.
I suppose the battle to convince those that leftists critical of Stalinism, are not dupes of imperialism, Reaganite or whatever, still needs to be done.
