Is Stan Fischer's book with Olivier Blanchard, _Lectures on Macroeconomics_ still the leading grad macro theory text in the US? What are you folks at UCB using these days? How about on the micro side? Has Harrison and Kreps or Mas-Colell, Whinston, and Green or something else displaced Varian yet?
BTW, to Patrick Bond, again. I think that Fischer may well be self-deluded in a way about his role at the IMF that would not hold for the less idealistic members of the staff. Barkley Rosser
