Nader's Worst Postion

Nader did not say that it was Okay if Roe Vs. Wade were repealed and went back to the states. He was asked about a worse case scenario, and suggested that that would be the results.

In general, at this point you cannot believe anything a lot of progressive Gore supporters say. (I exempt Nathan Newman, and Brad DeLong whose tone has been extremely moderate compared to what I've encountered.) The basic line I run into is that he is an egotistical, dishonest, anti-semitic, Leninist, hypocritcal, senile, demented, purist, greedhead who wants to put Bush into office so as increase the value of his Fidelity Mutual fund. Oh yes, and this is all probably because he is ethnically Lebanese, so it is in his genes to hate Lieberman. It is amazing how much progressive Democrats can sound like the loonier bits of the Republican far right.

No one is stupid enough to say this all at once -- but I can give direct quotes on everything above -- including a charming chap who refers to Nader as "al-Nadir, his real family name, you know".

Then again as the recent funding flap with Hillary proved, anti-Arab racism is the one kind of racism that nice liberal people feel no need to hide.
