U.S. concentration of wealth

A new Federal
Reserve Board study (Oct 25, 2000) of the growing
concentration of wealth in the United States is at

The top 1% now own 34% of total national wealth, up from
30% in 1992. The top 1% now own more than bottom 90%.
This study is the basis for an article in the November
6, 2000, American Prospect magazine, "A Better Kind of
Wealth Tax."
