% of those eligible to vote, tho, is different and, typically, lower than those registered to vote. an eyeball at the #s in 1996 sez 75% of eligible voters are registered voters.
here, the wait to vote was miserable. i've been spoiled having the good fortune to have lived in very small town where there was virtually no wait. a projected 75% turnout in Tampa Bay which is high compared to the last pres. election. turnout among first time voters/young people is up too, acc to exit polls.
