yes but in politics they are in different worlds. Suburbanites care about tobacco, *their* access to abortion, some kind of superficial support for affirmative action, and are wary of taxes.
Workers have no problems in the new economy, or if they do it's their fault for lack of training and education. Or they are prety to protectionist delusions that the government ought to prevent manufacturing jobs from leaving the country.
