Past two years roughly income has gone up at ALL levels. Clinton's number is probably right.

Problem is, this period is simultaneously celebrated as a great triumph for Clinton's policies, and decried as a dangerous harbinger of inflation. The latter is not voiced explicitly by the WH, but on the merits you can't have it both ways. The expression of their covert support for the latter is their unmitigated support for King Alan of Greenspan.

Max, In Amy's interveiw with BC she asked about the economy and BC replied that "the average income is up 15%, after inflation, since we took office." What are the real numbers, what about the median, what's the context?
