One thing I hope we won't do next is sacrifice our principles for what cannot even masquerade as expediency.

The weaker the US democratic illusion is, the better for the world. International press gloatings over the current fiasco have some of us chortling, as does the drooping stock market.

Looking forward with pleasure to months of wrangling between the two heads of the monster.... (Nader for inter-regnum Regent!)
