Isn't there a recount ongoing in New Mexico, while the Republicans are planning to request a recount in Wisconsin (by law, the request can't be filed until the final count is in). Obviously the impulse to count again in a losing battle runs both ways, while the mud only sticks to the first person to suggest it.
Like a friend of mine suggested, it's like smelling flatulence in a crowded room: whoever smelt it, dealt it.
