you had a broken link: you were missing the .ASP after "a-86769". BUT, just FYI, a surfing hint: climb the tree!! when i got the 404 by clicking on the broken link you sent Michael, i went into the address and deleted "a-86769" to get to: http://www.nydailynews.com/2000-11-01/News_and_Views/Beyond_the_City/
then i looked on that page for the archive. clicked on the article "Bush Set to Fight an Electoral College Loss" under "Elections" clicking brought up the article and reveal what was missing, the .ASP
all links should end with:
.html (.html#clinton --takes you to an anchor in the page) .htm (.htm#clinton--" ") .dhtml .shtml .asp .doc .pdf .org, .com, .net, .edu .jpg, .gif or some other image file extension a country abbrev -- .uk, .bg, .au, .hu or a / (slash)
