either way he's fucked. al would have to drag this out for 2-3 weeks more in

i was surprised to see the bush campaign late this afternoon press forward
for an injunction to stop the manual recount. i understand it
legalistically; they want to moot the possibility that harris's denial of
the late, amended vote counts (dade, broward, volusia, palm beach) will be
overturned in a higher state court. but politically it looks like piling on.
maybe shrub isn't content to enter office with a 40 percent approval rating;
maybe he wants to shoot for 25 or 30.
