Jordan, it is not about guns but people. Most of the professed right-to-bear-arms supporters I have enountered in this country fall into one or more of the following categories:
- right wing vigilantes - wannabe Marines - wannabe gangstas - wannabe militiamen - psychotic IT workers - self-righteous zealots - religious fundamentalists - macho chauvinists - bigots - paranoid government haters - paranoid foreigner haters - redneck galore - people who kill animals for pleasure
It is this crowd that scares the shit out of me, not the responsible gun owners you mention.
