Goods essay from Mr Evans. Raymond Williams (less read than he used to
be) is quite good on this period. I think it was Williams who told the
story of Coleridge's comment on Southey
'Southey will be read when Shakespeare is forgotten' - which has to be
read twice to get its real meaning.
