Let's face it, there's a lot that's undemocratic hereabouts. Just off the wire:

ALBANY, Ga. (AP) -- The Green Party candidate for the Senate, upset over being excluded from a televised debate between the front-runners, was jailed on disorderly conduct charges after interrupting the opening comments.
Jeff Gates, who was released from jail after posting $181 bail Tuesday morning, was in the fourth row of the television audience when he stood and called out, "This is what democracy looks like; this is what democracy feels like," as the television moderator introduced Democrat Zell Miller and Republican Mack Mattingly.
Gates' protest Monday night was seen by viewers before the station sponsoring the debate could cut to a commercial. He was led from the Albany Municipal Auditorium by a police officer, who handcuffed him outside.
Debate sponsor WALB-TV said it limited the debate to the candidates it considered most likely to win.
