Umm...what? It is the categories of hetero/homo that make possible prejudice and discrimination carried out by the Christian right. If these categories were obsolete, the fundy Christians could no longer say "homosexuality is a sin, homosexuals are sinners". As yosh points out often about gender, we'd be better off without these categories (politically, anyway).
