Do you get impossible constructions such as this very often in economics literature? And this sentence might also be an instance of the importance that "laws" of science (unlike the movement they describe) exist only in the mind. I take it that the gentleman wants to avoid certain situations within a business firm, not "the Dilbert Principle" which is a bit of discourse describing such situations.
