FUCKEDCOMPANY SEARCHES FOR SELF-WORTH ON EBAY

Tired of your exhausted Internet company appearing in FuckedCompany.com? Wish you could celebrate everyone else's failure but yours? You're in luck -- that joyous expression of schadenfreude is up for sale on Ebay. The bidding, which as of 2:20 p.m. Monday had nearly reached the unbelievable level of $10 million, will continue through Sept. 20. Site creator Philip Kaplan, who goes by the lovable moniker "Pud" on the site, says he has another, more-established business to run (Web design shop PK Interactive), and would like to hand off the site to someone who can help achieve its maximum sneering potential. The site's traffic numbers, detailed in the listing, should make most news sites green with envy -- 27,950 newsletter subscribers, 124,000 unique users per week, according to PC Data, and 300 to 400 news "tips" a day, which, Pud reminds us, are "many more than any journalist in the Internet industry." So, what does Kaplan to do with all the money if the bids turn out to legit? "Blow it all," he says. "I want to be a real dot-com and blow it all on Aeron chairs and drugs and a party and invite the Who and get some hookers."
