The Honors College of Florida Atlantic University invites applications for a tenure-track position in economics at the level of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2001. We seek scholars with primary interest in one or more of the above fields. Additional teaching would include Introductory and Intermediate Micro and Macroeconomics courses. The successful candidate would be expected to participate in interdisciplinary teaching and research. An ability to integrate heterodox economics approaches in teaching and research would be desirable.
The Honors College is a highly selective liberal arts college within a state university. We offer a four-year curriculum centered on the traditional disciplines in the liberal arts and sciences, with an emphasis on critical thinking, independent study, community-based internships, and cross-disciplinary programs such as International and Environmental Studies. Requirements include a Ph.D. in Economics, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and potential for high quality scholarship.
