<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML> Two of England's most celebrated footballers (off their Rockers?) were arrested yesterday in connection with a vicious assault on an 19-year-old Asian man: taking full advantage of their professional skills, the players were apparently kicking their victim in the head until someone spoiled their fun and called the cops. Leeds United, which pays the two heroes in question about $15,000 a week for their services, are presently leading England's Premier League.   The assault actually happened in Leeds last Wednesday but is only now getting any coverage.  In the Yorkshire Post, which is published in Leeds, the story made the front page but took below- the-fold second place to a lead piece chronicling a bloody but non-lethal (so far) rampage in a hospital by a nutter armed with a broken chair leg. <BLOCKQUOTE> <<Midfielder Lee Bowyer, 22, and England defender  Jonathan Woodgate, 19, were questioned about an  attack in Leeds city centre before being released on  bail pending further police inquiries.  <<The assault left a 19-year-old Asian man, who has  not  been named, in Leeds General Infirmary with serious  head injuries.
