I felt a little embarrassed for disclosing such personal information about myself. I'm not looking for pity, I have enough self-pity. Recently thoughts and emotions have been oozing out of me like pus from an open wound.

All I want from you folks to do is continue the relentless probing and exposing. Please don't ever stop.

I went looking for this forum. I landed here as a result of my attempt to define my own political ideology which is still a work in progress.

I began studying political science a few years ago, after a long self-imposed exile from society. I never used the internet until I went back to school.

I started doing searches on the net about socialism, anarchism, and communism. I found DSA and thought that was the greatest thing since sliced bread. I read some of Michael Harrington's work. I was impressed, but I did not limit myself to DSA. I tried some other places like Solidarity, SocialistUnmoderated, some anarchist lists, international lists, and this list. Like Goldilocks, I tasted and had various responses. Some groups were too internationally broad for me to relate to at this time, though I think they are vital. I like the militant groups. I have read a lot about the 20's, 30's, Eugene Debs- that era was so charged. I would give anything to see that kind of energy widespread today.

I have cut DSA. Time is limited, and I have feel that DSA is too willing to compromise. I love them, but I think they are too restrained.

I often find this list lofty and way too deep, but what a wonderful opportunity to exercise my cognitive and verbal skills! Most importantly, I find this list less willing to make concessions to the establishment. That's what the pigs want of course. That's what they hope for. Pass out just enough bread and television to keep the population sated and effectively stagnant.

So you lucky folks get me! I'll try not to wallow publicly anymore. I revert to my apprentice position, and try to learn.
