In fact, a Russian friend of mine looks favourably towards China for
similar reasons. But I think that here you're just ending up back
at Yoshie's question - how do you transform the Russian state from
the current den of oligarchs to the kind of strong developmental
state your scheme requires without some kind of new Lenin?
Anyway, Russia as another China doesn't do much to answer the questions
I raised.
