What's that?

True, especially because what Marx's law ultimately predicts (Ch. 15) is not a long-run fall in the profit rate, but recurrent *crises* in which existing capital-values are wiped out (an expression of the fact that they can be reproduced more cheaply) and the profit rate is restored. The tendency of the profit rate to fall, he writes, is constantly *overcome by way of crises."
