Sorry, Mike. The next scene is an extension of the previous one. Janet Margolis, who plays Alvy Singer's (Allen) wife, catches him watching the Knicks in a bedroom at the party. Alvy complains that the Knicks have blown a large lead. Margolis replies, "Alvy, what is so fascinating about a bunch of pituitary cases stuffing a ball into a basket?"
"Because it's physical, " replies Alvy. "Intellectuals prove that you can be absolutely brilliant and have no idea what's going on."
