Yesterday it was Kelley and Alan Wolfe's turn to be judged from on high; today it is Barbara Ehrenreich's turn; who come's tomorrow.

For those of us raised on what Christians like to call the New Testament, this discourse has a remarkable similiarity to the story of Pharisee in the temple, who says: "'God, I thank thee that I am not like other men, extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even like this tax collector."

God, I thank thee that I am not like revisionists, reformists, social democrats...

Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never has, and it never will. If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet deprecate agitation are men who want crops without plowing the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its waters. -- Frederick Douglass --
