On the phone Carrol giggles & laughs so often that he reminds me of a 
Japanese saying "hashi ga korondemo okashii," which means "getting 
tickled pink even by a mere sight of chopsticks falling [off the 
table]" -- in other words, "s/he thinks everything is so funny that 
s/he starts giggling about nothing!"
