I don't know if it has occurred to anyone, but consider the implications, if this particular rumor had been true.
Recall who is Attorney General, who is President, who rules both Houses of Congress, and what sits on the Supreme Court. Just exactly where would you expect to go to make your appeal against the arbitrary actions of the Department of Justice?
